Any amount between $5 and the $1,200 legal limit. Toronto's Contribution Rebate Program can return up to $641.67 of a maximum donation.

Before you contribute — Ontario law

Individual limit: The maximum you may contribute to this campaign is $1,200, including the combined value of money, goods, services, and event tickets.
Jurisdiction limit: You may not contribute more than $5,000 total across all candidates running for Toronto City Council in this election.
Who can contribute: Only individuals who normally reside in Ontario, contributing their own personal funds. Corporations, businesses, trade unions, organizations, and political parties cannot contribute.
Public reporting: If your total contributions exceed $100, your name and address will appear on the campaign's official financial statement (Form 4) filed with the City Clerk.

Every contribution is recorded for the official campaign financial statement (Form 4) filed with the Toronto City Clerk. You'll receive an emailed receipt — please note that this is not a tax receipt; municipal campaign contributions are not tax-deductible. You will instead simply receive a Rebate, to the amount shown on the table below.
